On the path to my massage career, I have worked in the fitness industry and as a professional dancer and dance teacher.
Dance was my introduction to strengthening and stretching muscles. To find out more about my dance career, click here.
My first year after graduating from Palmer Institute of Massage and Bodywork in 1999, I began my massage therapy career in a comfortable and familiar setting. I worked out of a health club in Beverly, MA.
Most recently, I worked for three years in a small, but growing massage office in the Marblehead/Salem area, eventually becoming the Therapist Manager where I assisted in the hiring and training of new therapists.
The rest of my massage career consisted of doing home visits while simultaneously pursuing my dance career.
One of the truly wonderful things about working as a massage therapist and personal trainer is the flexibility of my scheduling to continue pursuing my dance career. But it also offered the added benefit of an endless supply of dancers to help me hone my skills in injury prevention and pain relief.
Now that I am officially retired from dance, I am ready to settle down and am excited about opening an office of my own.
I look forward to continuing to learn about the fascinating workings of the human body.
I am currently teaching Massage at Boston University and am in the process of section-hiking the Appalachian Trail.
